Understanding Marijuana Potency

Understanding Marijuana Potency presents a report on the potency of Marijuana and it’s variability between various parts of the plant.

This report discusses the potency of the marijuana plant and details the results of the Marijuana Potency Monitoring Project report from 1974 to 1994 which highlights increased potency of marijuana over the years.

Understanding Marijuana Potency also point out facts such as that some plantĀ leaves can be nearly as potent as the growing shoots and buds. However, usually there is only a trace amount of THC in other leaves, with 95% of the THC being found in the bud and the leaf-node immediately down from it.

The report backs itself up with reference to various studies that have focused on the potency of different parts of the marijuana plant, such as a study carried out by the University of Illinois along with a report titled “The cannabinoid content of Cannabis sativa L. grown in England” by Fairbairn and Liebmann in the Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, vol 26 (Dec. 1974), pp. 413-419, which also looked into the potency levels of the cannabis plant and has been referred to often in marijuana literature.

If you are interested in understanding the potency levels of marijuana, then this is a report you need to read.
